Residential Migration Growth Down Slightly at ComEd During December

Residential customers at Commonwealth Edison who have switched to a competitive supplier and completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply increased by about 30,000 during the month of December, according to the latest statistics from the Illinois Commerce Commission.

As previously noted, the ICC statistics linked below show customers who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply. Accordingly, the data lags completed enrollments.

As of the end of December, 225,486 residential customers at ComEd had completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply, compared with 195,375 as of the end of November.

The net growth of 30,000 ComEd residential customers billed on competitive supply during December is down slightly from the net growth of 37,000 residential customers seen in November

Residential customers at Ameren who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply as of the end of December were as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: 11,451

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: 5,339

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: 19,722

The net growth in residential accounts billed on competitive supply at Ameren during December, compared to the November totals, was as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: +2,897

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: +1,009

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: +4,453

For comparison, the residential migration growth in each Ameren territory during November had been:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: +1,997

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: +1,550

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: +5,045

Commercial migration continues to grow incrementally.
