PUCO Sets FirstEnergy Ohio Retail Generation Rate

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has posted the retail generation rate resulting from the recent default service auction for the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities.
When combined with prior procurements, PUCO said that the FirstEnergy Ohio generation price for June 2012 through May 2013 is $53.37 per megawatt hour (MWh).
This rate only reflects full requirements supply as procured in the auctions, and excludes other bypassable generation components, such as the alternative energy rider.
