Maine PUC Adopts New Standard Offer Rates

The Maine PUC has approved new Standard Offer rates for medium commercial and industrial customers at Central Maine Power and Bangor Hydro-Electric for the six-month period beginning March 1, 2012.
As first reported by Matters, the PUC previously rejected Standard Offer bids for the large commercial and industrial classes at CMP and BHE. The Commission said that it, "expects to deliberate the arrangement for the large class standard offer provider(s) within the next few weeks."
Additionally, the PUC, in a separate action, adopted a Standard Offer rate of $0.11000 per kWh for the month of February 2012 for BHE's large non-residential class.
