Just Energy to be Listed on NYSE
Just Energy Group Inc. announced that its common shares have been approved for listing and trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) commencing on January 30, 2012 under the trading ticker symbol "JE". The company's common shares will continue to be listed for trading in Canada on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the same symbol. "We believe the move to the NYSE will provide greater access to capital markets and provide a platform for anticipated future growth," said Ken Hartwick, Just Energy's President and Chief Executive Officer, who also said that it is the right time to list on NYSE given that Just Energy currently has more sales in the United States than Canada
Constellation Energy Awarded New GSA Contracts
Constellation Energy said that it has been awarded three new General Services Administration (GSA) electricity supply and renewable energy contracts in five states. The additional contracts expand Constellation's federal supply to 2.7 million megawatt hours of electricity per year. The new contracts cover agencies in New York (including the United Nations building), Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.
PUCT Revokes Abacus Resources Energy Certificate
The PUCT yesterday adopted a final order to revoke the REP certificate of Abacus Resources Energy, LLC, which defaulted in February 2011.
