Interstate Gas Supply has begun offering residential electric service in Ohio.

Specifically, IGS Energy is offering electricity to residential customers in the AEP Ohio service area.

IGS Energy offers residential customers at AEP Ohio a 12-month fixed rate of 6.95 cents per kWh. There is no early cancellation fee.

Although no rate information is available, a standard form disclosure statement indicates that IGS Energy offers residential electric customers at AEP Ohio a special rate when also purchasing natural gas from IGS Energy. The AEP Ohio service area mainly overlaps with Columbia Gas, though parts overlap with Dominion East Ohio, and very small parts overlap with Duke Energy Ohio (gas) and Vectren Energy Delivery.

AEP Ohio is the only Ohio territory for which IGS Energy currently lists a residential electric offer in its website.
