Ambit Energy Seeks Gas License in New State
Ambit Northeast, LLC applied for a Pennsylvania natural gas supplier license to serve residential customers and commercial customers using less than 6,000 Mcf annually at UGI Central Penn, UGI Penn Natural, UGI Utilities, National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp., Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Inc, Equitable Gas Company, and Peoples Natural Gas Company LLC. Ambit's intent to expand natural gas service in Pennsylvania was previously reported by Matters.
GDF Suez Retail Energy Solutions Receives New License
A final Connecticut PURA decision would grant GDF Suez Retail Energy Solutions, LLC d/b/a Think Energy an electric supplier license to serve commercial customers. The application was first reported in Matters (10/31). GDF Suez Retail Energy Solutions is a subsidiary of GDF Suez Energy Resources NA that focuses on serving small volume customers.
Start-up Northeastern Ohio Residential Aggregation Seeks Aggregator License
Start-up Northeastern Ohio Residential Aggregation, Ltd., d/b/a NORA Ltd., applied for an Ohio electric broker/aggregator license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. NORA Ltd. said that it will focus in particular on aggregating multi-tenant properties.
