Energy Company of America Launches Residential Service

Energy Company of America (ENCOA), a trade name of TERM Power & Gas, LLC, has begun offering residential electricity.

Energy Company of America's first residential electric market is Commonwealth Edison in Illinois.

TERM Power & Gas, LLC is a unit of Twin Eagle Resource Management, LLC.

Energy Company of America is offering ComEd residential customers a fixed rate of 5.75 cents per kWh for either 12 or 24 months.

The products include an early termination fee of $50.

The 12-month rate is the lowest 12-month fixed offer on Plug In Illinois, and the 24-month rate is the second-lowest 24-month offer (1 mill/kWh above FirstEnergy Solutions' 24-month offer of 5.65 cents per kWh).

Energy Company of America's website states that it will begin offering residential service in Pennsylvania and Texas in 2012.

Energy Company of America currently offers commercial service in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
