Texas-New Mexico Power Company has filed an application to reduce certain meter-related Discretionary Charges charged to retail electric providers in its Tariff for Retail Delivery Services.

The reductions are a condition of TNMP's advanced metering deployment plan.

Specifically, TNMP is proposing to reduce the standard Disconnect after Non-Payment (DNP) charge and standard Reconnect after DNP charge, for those premises with a provisioned advanced meter with remote connect/disconnect capabilities.

For those premises with a provisioned advanced meter with remote connect/disconnect capabilities, the proposed standard DNP charge is $22.91, and the proposed standard Reconnect after DNP charge is also $22.91.

The current charge for a standard DNP is $28, and the current charge for a standard Reconnect after DNP is $29. These charges will remain unchanged for premises without a provisioned advanced meter with remote connect/disconnect capabilities.
