ResCom Energy Owner Launching New Retail Supplier Focused on Municipal Aggregation

David Cohen has founded a new retail energy supplier, American Illuminating Company LLC, which will focus on municipal aggregation.
Cohen serves as President and Managing Member of American Illuminating Company LLC.
Cohen is also the owner of ResCom Holding Company, Inc. whose wholly-owned subsidiary is ResCom Energy, LLC, a licensed electric supplier in Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Through common ownership, ResCom Energy is closely affiliated with Standard Oil of Connecticut, Connecticut's largest independently owned heating oil company.
American Illuminating Company LLC stated in an application for an Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license that it was founded by David Cohen in June of 2012 to become a retail electric supplier in Illinois and Ohio.
American Illuminating Company LLC said that it, "will focus on servicing the needs of municipal aggregators in those markets."
In Illinois, American Illuminating Company LLC applied to serve all customer classes at Commonwealth Edison. The supplier is not yet licensed in any other state, "but plans to act as an alternative retail electric supplier in other states that operate within PJM in the future."
