PPL Sees Return to Growth in Residential Shopping, PECO Continues Surge

PPL has returned to a weekly increase in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply, after seeing a decline in residential shoppers to start October, according to the October 17 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From October 7 to October 13, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 776 accounts, versus the week-ago decline of 239 accounts.
From October 10 to October 16, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 4,200 accounts, up from the week-ago growth of 3,500 and growth of 1,850 accounts two weeks ago. A new, higher residential Price to Compare took effect at PECO on October 1.
From October 11 to October 17, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,800 accounts, up from the week-ago growth of 1,600 accounts.
From October 7 to October 13, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 822 accounts.
From October 11 to October 17, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by about 800 accounts, which was essentially even with the week-ago growth.
From October 11 to October 17, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 300 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 176 accounts.
From October 11 to October 17, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 60 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 26 accounts.
