Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas and Glacial Energy of Texas, Inc. have reached, "an agreement in principal," concerning a Staff petition to revoke the retail electric provider certificate of Glacial Energy of Texas, Inc.

Though an "agreement in principal" has been reached, parties stressed in a status update that, "a final agreement has not been reached regarding all contested issues at this time."

Still, in December, parties had only reported "significant progress" towards a settlement, so the "agreement in principal" represents further progress.

The parties' recently filed joint status update did not disclose particulars regarding the agreement in principal.

The parties said that they believe that further negotiations will result in a resolution of the matter entirely, or in part, and sought a further extension of the procedural schedule and abatement of the hearing date.
