Reporting by Karen Abbott • kabbott@energychoicematters.com

Stream Energy announced that it is cutting in half customer deposit requirements in markets where it is the exclusive billing party for energy supply.

Specifically, Stream Energy has cut its deposits in half in Texas and Georgia for all new customers, regardless of what rate plan the customer selects.

Effective through the end of June, customers required to pay a deposit will only need to pay $125 in Texas (formerly $250) and $75 in Georgia (formerly $150).
