Reporting by Karen Abbott • kabbott@energychoicematters.com

ERCOT has issued a final determination of Reliability Must-Run (RMR) status for the Lower Colorado River Authority's Ferguson Power Plant G1 (FERGUS_FERGUSG1)

On January 25, 2013, ERCOT received Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) from Lower Colorado River Authority for the decommissioning and retirement of Ferguson Power Plant G1 (FERGUS_FERGUSG1) with a proposed effective date of September 30, 2013.

ERCOT has completed its review and is issuing its final determination that the resource is not required to support ERCOT System reliability (for voltage support, stability or management of localized transmission constraints under first contingency criteria). The resource may be decommissioned and retired according to the schedule in the NSO.
