Enchanted Rock's Electranet Seeks Texas REP Certificate

Electranet Power, LLC applied for an Option 1 Texas REP certificate.

According to Texas Secretary of State records, the manager of Electranet Power, LLC is Enchanted Rock, Ltd.

According to its website, Enchanted Rock, "is a boutique energy technology firm focused on using the Electranet to reduce energy cost, reduce carbon footprint and increase electrical reliability."

Enchanted Rock's website states that its strategic focus is to help electricity consumers:

• Reduce Costs & Carbon Footprint

• Integrate Distributed Renewables

• Integrate Electric Vehicles

• Increase Reliability

To achieve these goals, Enchanted Rock's website states that its strategies include:

• Connecting consumers to the smart grid, or "Electranet."

• Managing consumption patterns

• Applying "smart" technology to reduce total consumption

• Providing buffers against electricity interruption

• Maximizing optionality in all energy resources for both stationary and transportation applications

"We employ a proprietary methodology for identifying multiple paths to monetize value created through energy demand technology applications. Our process is based on energy and environmental market pull, rather than technology push," Enchanted Rock's website states.

Thomas McAndrew is President of Electranet Power, LLC and Managing Director of Enchanted Rock Ltd. McAndrew has 28 years experience in energy asset management, including positions at Calpine.

Kevin Presto serves as President of Enchanted Rock Electric, LLC. Presto has held senior level positions at Bear Stearns, UBS, Enron, and Enserch.

David Garcia serves as a director of Enchanted Rock, Ltd. Garcia is a seven-year veteran of the deregulated electricity and oil & gas industries, and previously held positions at Reliant and NRG.
