Reporting by Karen Abbott • kabbott@energychoicematters.com

ERCOT has scheduled an information session regarding its request for data from retail electric providers regarding their dynamic pricing and demand response-related products.

As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, ERCOT is requesting that retail electric providers analyze their retail dynamic pricing and demand response-related products, and associate each ESI ID enrolled in the products into categories as defined by ERCOT and described in a technical specification document provided to REPs (see prior story) . Collecting premise-level data on retail products will allow ERCOT to perform statistical analysis in an effort to quantify retail demand response and track trends.

Pursuant to PUC Subst. Rule §25.505(e) (5), "Load Serving Entities (LSEs) shall provide ERCOT with complete information on load response capabilities that are self-arranged or pursuant to bilateral agreements between LSEs and their customers."

ERCOT will host a WebEx Meeting on June 11, 2013 to address questions related to the Demand Response Data Collection.

REPs that have ESI IDs enrolled in the products covered by ERCOT in a market notice shall create and submit a file to ERCOT via NAESB Electronic Delivery Mechanism (EDM).

REPs that do not have programs will not have to submit a file to ERCOT.

The first file required from REPs will be a snapshot representing ESI IDs enrolled in the covered retail products as of June 15, 2013.

Target date for submission of the completed file to ERCOT is August 1, 2013.
