CenterPoint Energy Services Seeks New Retail Supplier License, Intends to Serve Residential Customers
CenterPoint Energy Services, Inc. applied for an Illinois alternative natural gas supplier license. CenterPoint Energy Services said in its application that it is seeking authority to serve customers at Nicor, Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas, but an attachment of notices of intent sent to utilities also included a letter sent to Ameren indicating that the company may at some point in time provide service to customers at Ameren (as Ameren's program is characterized as transportation, limited to non-residential customers, rather than choice, this could explain its omission from the list of service areas included in the main body of the application). CenterPoint Energy Services said that it, "will provide alternative gas supply services to small commercial customer [sic] located in the aforementioned service territories. Applicant intends to provide services to residential customers."
EMEX, LLC Receives Licenses in New State
The Maryland PSC granted EMEX, LLC a natural gas broker/aggregator license to serve residential, commercial and industrial customers. The District of Columbia PSC also granted EMEX, LLC d/b/a EMEX Power, LLC a natural gas broker license to serve all customer classes.
Emissions Consult Seeks Licenses in New State
Emissions Consult LLC applied for Maryland electric and natural gas broker licenses to serve all customer classes in all service areas.
