Energy Future Holdings Corp., the parent of TXU Energy and 4Change Energy, continued to see a reduced level of net residential customer churn during the second quarter of 2013, Energy Future Holdings disclosed in a 10-Q filed this morning.

Specifically, EFH reported in its 10-Q that its retail businesses were serving 1.532 million residential meters as of June 30, 2013, versus 1.546 million residential meters as of March 31, 2013, and 1.578 million a year ago.

The net churn of 14,000 residential customers since March 31, 2013 is identical to the net residential churn seen from December 31, 2012 to March 31, 2013, which had been lower than the net churn (excluding inorganic additions) of 19,000 residential customers from September 30, 2012 to December 31, 2012.

TXU Energy residential customer count, as reported in an EFH slide presentation, was 1.525 million as of June 30, 2013, versus 1.540 million as of March 31, 2013 and 1.578 million a year ago.

EFH companies were serving 176,000 small business meters (< 1 MW) as of June 30, 2013, which is even with the total as of March 31, 2013, and compares to 178,000 a year ago.

EFH companies were serving 17,000 large business meters as of June 30, 2013, versus 18,000 as of March 31, 2013, and 16,000 a year ago.

Total EFH retail customer count was 1.725 million as of June 30, 2013, versus 1.740 million meters as of March 31, 2013, and 1.772 million a year ago.
