FLASH: NRG Retail Business Sees Uptick in Customer Growth Rate

NRG Energy's retail business saw its net customer growth rate increase slightly during the three months ended June 30, 2013, versus the growth rate seen during the three months ended March 31, 2013.

Specifically, NRG's retail businesses were serving 2.254 million customers as of June 30, 2013, versus 2.231 million as of March 31, 2013.

The net growth of 23,000 customers is up marginally from the growth of 21,000 customers seen from December 31, 2012 to March 31, 2013.

NRG is holding an earnings call this morning.
