NRG Residential Solutions Expands to New States, NFL-Themed Offerings Expanded
NRG Residential Solutions, NRG's newly launched Northeast retail electric brand focused on offering customized and innovative plans, is now offering service in several new states.
Specifically, NRG Residential Solutions is now offering electricity service in Massachusetts, Maryland, and the District of Columbia
In Massachusetts, NRG Residential Solutions offers electricity at Nstar and National Grid; in Maryland, NRG Residential Solutions offers electricity at Baltimore Gas & Electric, Pepco, and Delmarva; and in the District of Columbia, NRG Residential Solutions offers electricity at Pepco.
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com in August, NRG Residential Solutions recently launched service in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
NRG Residential Solutions' offerings in the new states are the same plans as offered in Pennsylvania and New Jersey -- several standard plans (an NFL-themed plan, a Nest thermostat bundle plan, and an essentials plan), plus fully customizable plans.
New NFL-themed plans include the Patriots Fan Plan and Redskins Fan Plan, to complement an existing plan for Eagles fans.
For the customizable plans, customers may select their enrollment bonus, level of cash-back, term length (from monthly variable up to 12 months fixed), and renewable content.
All plans include NRG Residential Solutions' "2¢ Sundays" rebate program which, in a one-time rebate after 6 months, provides a rebate to the customer based on if they had been charged 2¢/kWh for their Sunday usage for those first six months versus the otherwise applicable rate

Due to the multitude of offers, Matters will not quote every plan here, but for representative purposes, pricing for the NFL-themed plan (where applicable) and Nest plan at select utilities in the new states is as follows:
The fixed plans include an early cancellation fee of $10 multiplied by the number of months remaining on the fixed supply price term of the agreement
