Texas TDU to Cease Billing Hurricane Charge Applicable to REPs
Texas-New Mexico Power Company has filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas revisions to Rider HCRF - Hurricane Cost Recovery Factor, in order to terminate collection of such approved Hurricane Ike restoration recovery costs prior to any over-collection.
TNMP said that although the Hurricane Cost Recovery Factor approved in Docket 36025 was to last 60 months ending on August 31, 2014, TNMP anticipates full collection of the Hurricane Ike expenses by the end of November 2013
TNMP submitted updated tariff pages to cease billing the Hurricane Ike restoration recovery cost factors effective November 23, 2013 (setting the charge to $0). Any amount reflecting an over collection or under-collection of Rider HCRF - Hurricane Cost Recovery Factor will be applied to TNMP's self-insurance reserve previously approved in PUC Docket Nos. 36025 and 38480.
Currently, the Rider HCRF charge is $0.00104 per kWh for residential service and $0.00229 per kWh for secondary service (less than or equal to 5 kW)
Docket 41988
