Texas TDU Reports "Strong" Customer Growth
During an earnings call yesterday, CenterPoint Energy said that its CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric subsidiary, "continues to benefit from strong growth in our service territory."
CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric has seen the addition of more than 44,000 customers since September of 2012.
"We expect this 2% customer growth rate to remain through the end of the year and into the foreseeable future," executives said.
At CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, residential throughput for the quarter was up 4% compared to the same quarter last year. Combined commercial and industrial throughput was also up, increasing approximately 2% compared to the same period last year.
