Regional Retail Supplier Expands to New York, With Offer at ConEd
Gulf Electricity has begun offering electricity service in New York, at Consolidated Edison.
For New York City customers, Gulf Electricity is offering ConEd residential customers a rate of 10.49¢/kWh fixed through December 2014.
For Westchester customers, Gulf Electricity is offering ConEd residential customers a rate of 8.49¢/kWh fixed through December 2014.
The contracts include an early termination fee that will not exceed: $100 for any residential contract with a remaining term of less than 12 months; $200 for any residential contract with a remaining term of 12 months or more; or twice the estimated bill for energy services for an average month, provided that an estimate of an average monthly bill was provided to the customer when the offer was made by Gulf along with the amount of any early termination fee.
Similar to promotions in other markets, Gulf Electricity is offering New York customers a $10 Power Card good for free gasoline at any Gulf station, with an additional $25 Power Card for every 5,000 kilowatt-hours used
Commercial service is also available.
As previously reported, Gulf Electricity also offers electricity service in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
