"PJM's capacity auctions, which are intended to provide support for competitive generators, do not, and instead have delivered unpredictable and inadequate results," FirstEnergy Corp. CEO Anthony Alexander said during an investor call yesterday.

The call addressed FirstEnergy's previously announced dividend cut, and lowered guidance for its competitive services unit (click here for prior story).

FirstEnergy's competitive generating portfolio consists of more than 13,000 MW of capacity.
