Pepco Residential, Commercial SOS Rates to Decrease
Update 2/10: This story has been updated to reflect Pepco's revisions to the SOS rates as filed on 2/7
Pepco has filed with the District of Columbia PSC new SOS electric rates for the period of June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2015.
The new rates represent a decrease for residential and commercial customers. On a total bill basis, the total decrease for Residential customers is 11.2%, 6.5% for Small Commercial customers, and 9.1 % for Large Commercial customers, Pepco said.
As part of the rate changes, Pepco is proposing to decrease the Administrative Charge for Residential customer classes from $0.0050/kWh to $0.0040/kWh, and increase the Administrative Charge for Small Commercial customer classes from $0.0050/kWh to $0.00875/kWh.
The bypassable Administrative Charge is also now listed separately in the SOS rate tariff.
