PUC Orders Reduction in Utility Charges Applicable to Retail Suppliers

The New Hampshire PUC has adopted temporarily revised charges applicable to services provided by Public Service Company of New Hampshire to retail electric suppliers, to be in effect pending an incremental cost study for such charges.

Specifically, effective February 1, 2014, PSNH was ordered to establish temporary rates for its charges for services to competitive energy providers as follows:

• Selection Charge: $0.15 per transaction (reduced from $5)

• Billing and Payment Charges: $0.26 per bill rendered (reduced from $0.50)

• Collection Service Charges: 0.252% of total monthly bill receivables (unchanged)
