PUC Rejects Default Service Solicitation Results

The Pennsylvania PUC recently rejected the results from a PECO RFP for 24-month full requirements contracts for residential default service, finding the RFP to be "non-competitive." The PUC accepted bids in the same January 2014 RFP for 12-month residential, 12-month small commercial, 6-month medium commercial, and 12-month large commercial and industrial contracts.


State Sets Public Hearings on Electric Supplier Practices

The Connecticut PURA scheduled a series of evening public hearings during February, to take public comment only, in its investigation of electric supplier marketing and sales practices and regulations.
