Initial REP Pricing Posted for Sharyland Service Areas Newly Open to Choice
Several REPs have now released residential pricing for the Sharyland Stanton, Colorado City, Brady, and Celeste divisions which will transition to retail choice on May 1.
Specifically, Stream Energy and Ambit Energy have listed offers for the new Sharyland choice areas on Power to Choose (all prices listed based on 1,000 kWh).
Stream's lowest offer for the new Sharyland choice areas on Power to Choose is 11.7¢/kWh, fixed for 3 or 12 months. The 3-month plan does not have an early termination fee, the 12-month plan includes a $250 early termination fee.
Ambit's lowest offer for the new Sharyland choice areas on Power to Choose is a variable rate currently priced at 10.8¢/kWh. Ambit's lowest fixed rate is a 6-month fixed rate of 12.5¢/kWh, which includes a $100 early termination fee.
Both Stream and Ambit offer a 100% renewable plan for customers in the new Sharyland choice areas as well.
Stream and Ambit are the only REPs to post offers for the new Sharyland choice areas thus far.
Matters checked the websites of all of the residential Sharyland default REPs plus several other leading REPs (as well as contacting their press offices), and pricing was not available. TXU's and Reliant's websites encourage customers in the new Sharyland choice areas to call for pricing; Reliant's site says online enrollment for the new Sharyland choice areas will be available in late February.
