TXU, Veteran Energy Post Pricing for Sharyland-Cap Rock Service Areas Opening to Choice
TXU Energy and Veteran Energy have posted on PowerToChoose offers for customers in the Sharyland Utilities Brady, Stanton, Celeste and Colorado City areas (Cap Rock territories), which are newly opening to choice starting May 1.
Among TXU's offers for Sharyland Utilities is a 12-month fixed rate with an average all-in rate of 13.6¢/kWh (all rates quoted at 1,000 kWh monthly usage). The product includes a base charge of $4.95 per month, an energy charge of 6.2¢/kWh, and a pass-through of TDU charges. The product includes an early termination fee of $150.
TXU is also offering a "Smart Discount 12" fixed rate which includes a unique energy rate for usage above or below 1,200 kWh, and under which a bill credit of $15 will be applied for each billing cycle in which usage is 800 kWh or more. Specifically, the Smart Discount 12 product, a 12-month fixed rate, has an average all-in rate of 12.5¢/kWh. This reflects a monthly base charge of $9.95, an energy charge of 6.1¢/kWh for usage from 0-1,200 kWh, an energy charge of 8.5¢/kWh for usage in excess of 1,200 kWh, and a pass-through of TDU charges. The product includes an early termination fee of $150.
Additionally, TXU offers Sharyland-Cap Rock customers its "Monthly Saver 24" product, which provides monthly credits for usage in excess of certain thresholds. The Monthly Saver 24 product is a 24-month fixed rate, with an average all-in rate of 14.4¢/kWh. This reflects an energy charge of 10.0¢/kWh and a pass-through of TDU charges. A $25 bill credit will be applied if monthly usage reaches 800 kWh. An additional $25 bill credit will be applied if monthly usage reaches 1,200 kWh. The product includes an early termination fee of $295.
TXU is also offering a renewable product and an indexed product (with 3% cash back) to Sharyland Utilities customers.
Veteran Energy is offering Sharyland Utilities customers a 12-month fixed product with an average all-in rate of 12.8¢/kWh. A monthly fee of $9.95 applies if monthly usage is below 1,000 kWh. The product includes a $150 early termination fee.
Veteran Energy is also offering Sharyland Utilities customers a 6-month fixed product with an average all-in rate of 12.7¢/kWh. A monthly fee of $9.95 applies if monthly usage is below 1,000 kWh. The product includes a $100 early termination fee.
