NTE Energy announced plans to develop, own and operate a 270 MW gas-fired peaking generating plant in ERCOT.

NTE Energy's Pecan Creek Energy Center, to be located near Sweetwater, Nolan County, Texas, will utilize the M501GAC-FAST combustion turbine in simple cycle configuration. This design and technology provides up to 270 MW in 10 minutes

The Pecan Creek Energy Center has filed its permit applications and its generation interconnection request with ERCOT. The project is expected to begin construction in the fourth quarter 2014 and become fully operational in the second quarter of 2016.
