Dynegy's Homefield Energy retail energy business has a 30% market share in the Ameren Illinois electric territory, executives reported during an earnings call last week.

Dynegy reported Homefield Energy sales as 13 million MWh in 2013. Sales in Ameren accounted for 77% of volumes, with sales in ComEd representing 23%.

Sales to C&I customers represented 64% of volumes, while municipal aggregation sales represented 36%.

Dynegy said that retail margins are in the $1 to $3 per megawatt-hour range, or "typical" Illinois retail margins.
