Ohio Discloses Winning Bidders from AEP Ohio Default Service Auction

Ohio has disclosed the winning bidders of AEP Ohio's energy-only auction for a 10% slice of default service during the period April 1, 2014 through May 31, 2015

The auction, which was for energy but not capacity, resulted in an average clearing price of $42.78 per megawatt-hour. This rate will be blended with tariffed generation rates to set the SSO rate.

Winning bidders were:

AEP Energy Partners, Inc.           2
Buckeye Power, Inc.                 1
Duke Energy Commercial Asset
   Management, Inc.                 1
Exelon Generation Company, LLC      4
FirstEnergy Solutions Corp.         2
