Start-up Volterra Energy Acquires Texas Retail Electric Provider
Volterra Energy, LLC has acquired all outstanding membership interests in Nooruddin Investments, LLC, which served Texas customers under the Discount Power brand (not affiliated with the Northeast-based Discount Power)
Neville Ravji is President & CEO of Volterra Energy and now serves as a manager of Nooruddin Investments LLC. Ravji was a co-founder of Tara Energy and served as COO and later CEO for a number of years.
C Gibson is Vice President of Volterra Energy and now serves as a manager of Nooruddin Investments LLC. Gibson previously held positions at Fulcrum Power (which for a period owned Tara Energy).
Tanveer Sayani is listed as a director at Volterra Energy. Sayani was formerly Operations Billing and Accounts Receivables Manager at Fulcrum Power Services. Sayani also served in a similar role at Summer Energy.
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com in January, Volterra Energy had itself been seeking certification as a retail electric provider, but in light of the acquisition of Nooruddin Investments, has withdrawn that application
