Pepco Provides Date for Use of Late Payment Revenues as POR Offset
Pepco has provided the District of Columbia PSC with the date by which it can include late payment revenues as an offset in the POR discount rate calculation.
The PSC recently ruled that although late payment revenues are intended to be a component of the POR calculation, Pepco was not required to include late payment revenues as a component at the start of the POR program, due to billing limitations.
Pepco confirmed that its new customer relationship management and billing system will permit Pepco to begin collecting and accounting for late payment revenues, and that late payment revenues will be included in the discount rate in the new system.
"As Pepco has stated to the Commission in other proceedings, Pepco currently projects that its new customer relationship management and billing system will go live in January 2015, and will notify the Commission of any unanticipated events that cause delays to this schedule," Pepco said.
