Reliant Launches 'Primetime' Time of Use Product for Businesses
Reliant has begun offering a "Primetime" plan for businesses with an electricity rate that is 30 percent less than their weekday (8 p.m. - 5 a.m.) rate.

ADVERTISEMENT Reliant said that the plan is designed to benefit restaurants, fitness centers, retailers and other businesses that operate core hours during nights and weekends.
In the CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric area, the Reliant Business Primetime 12 plan is an indexed plan with a term of 12 months.
The product includes an energy charge of 5.8¢ per kWh from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM Monday through Friday and all weekend hours, an energy charge of 8.3¢ per kWh for all other hours, and a pass-through of TDU charges.
The average all-in rate of Reliant's Business Primetime 12 plan at CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric for a business using 2,500 kWh per month with a non-demand meter is 10.2¢ per kWh, and 11.1¢ per kWh for a business with a demand meter (assuming 30% load factor). Average price calculation is based on usage assumptions over 12 months of 51% Nights and Weekend usage and 49% Weekday usage
In the Oncor service area, the Reliant Business Primetime 12 plan includes an energy charge of 5.7¢ per kWh from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM Monday through Friday and all weekend hours, an energy charge of 8.1¢ per kWh for all other hours, and a pass-through of TDU charges.
The average all-in rate of Reliant's Business Primetime 12 plan at Oncor for a business using 2,500 kWh per month with a non-demand meter is 10.2¢ per kWh, and 11.7¢ per kWh for a business with a demand meter.
An early cancellation fee applies, equal to 1 times the sum of the Energy Charge and TDSP Pass-Through charges on the invoice prior to the final invoice.
Quoted rates reflect Reliant's standing offers for business customers; businesses may also request a custom quote.
