Reporting by Karen Abbott • kabbott@energychoicematters.com

NRG Energy, through its Everything Energy brand, has acquired another book of Texas retail electric customers.

This time, it's the Texas retail book of ENCOA, the retail brand of Twin Eagle Resource Management.

Specifically, NRG's Everything Energy purchased the ENCOA ERCOT retail book.

NRG told EnergyChoiceMatters.com that ENCOA customers will be transitioned to NRG "brands" [plural] in May.

NRG would not disclose the number of customers included in the ENCOA Texas book.

Everything Energy is honoring all terms of the acquired ENCOA contracts.

This is the third retail acquisition disclosed by NRG during March, following Everything Energy's acquisition of APNA Energy, and NRG's pending acquisition of the Dominion Retail electric book (which included the Cirro customers in Texas in addition to Northeast customers)
