Wholesale Market Inefficiencies To Be Focus of National Energy Marketers Association Restructuring Conference
The National Energy Marketers Association annual restructuring conference, to be held April 30-May 1, will include a focus on recent wholesale market issues and inefficiencies.
One of the NEM panels will examine, "Constraints, Inefficiencies And Shortages," experienced this winter, including possible factors causing extreme market prices
Additional panels will examine the regulatory impulse to "correct" market prices, and the "utility of the future" -- one focused on grid modernization rather than the merchant function.
