Loss of Residential Electric Shoppers Continues in Pennsylvania
Last week saw another period in which all of Pennsylvania's major electric distribution companies saw a decline in residential customers on competitive supply.
Specifically, from about March 27 to April 2 (reporting date varies slightly by utility) the weekly change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply was:
In aggregate, the competitive electric market saw a net decline of 6,400 residential shopping customers during the most recent week, versus a loss of 7,200 residential shopping customers in the immediately prior week
For comparison, the weekly change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply from about March 20 to March 26 at each utility was:
