Texas Retail Provider Ceases Operations
SmartCom Energy Services LLC has informed the Public Utility Commission of Texas that it has ceased active operations, and asked to relinquish its REP certificate.
SmartCom Energy Services has not served any customers since early December 2013. In late November, certain vendors serving SmartCom Energy Services had informed the PUCT that they had ceased providing services to SmartCom.
At the time SmartCom Energy Services LLC decided to cease active operations (on or about November 2013), it had six customers. Three accounts were in the name of one employee. Two other employees and one non-employee customer were being served by SmartCom. These customers were notified of SmartCom's cessation of operations on November 25, 2013
All six customers changed service providers on or before December 2, 2013.
