Update: TriEagle Posts Pricing for Texas WeatherBug Home Plan

TriEagle Energy has posted pricing for its Texas electric plans bundled with Earth Networks' WeatherBug Home energy efficiency solutions.

TriEagle Energy is offering the WeatherBug Home program, which consists of various weather and usage reports which are used to predict how much heating or cooling a customer's home needs on each day (click here for more), under a 12, 24, or 36 month rate, with either standard power or 100% renewable power.

At Oncor, TriEagle's 12-month fixed WeatherBug plan has an average all-in rate of 10.7¢/kWh (all average rates quoted at 1,000 kWh per month). This reflects an energy charge of 10.2¢/kWh and a base charge of $4.95 per billing cycle.

At Oncor, TriEagle's 36-month fixed WeatherBug plan has an average all-in rate of 10.4¢/kWh. This reflects an energy charge of 9.9¢/kWh and a base charge of $4.95 per billing cycle.

At Oncor, TriEagle's 12-month fixed, 100% renewable WeatherBug plan has an average all-in rate of 11.0¢/kWh. This reflects an energy charge of 10.5¢/kWh and a base charge of $4.95 per billing cycle.

At CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, TriEagle's 12-month fixed WeatherBug plan has an average all-in rate of 11.6¢/kWh. This reflects an energy charge of 11.1¢/kWh and a base charge of $4.95 per billing cycle.

At CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, TriEagle's 36-month fixed WeatherBug plan has an average all-in rate of 11.4¢/kWh. This reflects an energy charge of 10.9¢/kWh and a base charge of $4.95 per billing cycle.

At CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, TriEagle's 12-month fixed, 100% renewable WeatherBug plan has an average all-in rate of 11.9¢/kWh. This reflects an energy charge of 11.4¢/kWh and a base charge of $4.95 per billing cycle.

Each product includes an early termination fee of $20 per month remaining on the contract.

Additionally, TriEagle provided details on its offering of a subsidized ecobee Smart Si thermostat to customers.

TriEagle is offering the smart thermostat free to some of its targeted renewal customers, and at a discounted price for all new and renewal customers signing up for service. TriEagle said that its price of $149.95 represents a 10% to 25% discount from most online sale prices.
