Pennsylvania PUC Likely to Open Investigation of FirstEnergy Solutions Today
The Pennsylvania PUC is scheduled to address at its public meeting today an order to open an investigation regarding FirstEnergy Solutions' pass-through clauses in its fixed-rate contracts.
An order in a docket assigned to the matter, I-2014-2416181, is listed as an item to be considered on the PUC's April 23 public meeting agenda.
The assignment of a docket number for an investigation of the FES pass-through clauses had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com.
EnergyChoiceMatters.com also first reported a petition for a declaratory order from the Utility Workers Union of America, which has asked the PUC to rule that FES's fixed price contract language does not permit FES to increase its bills to residential customers because of higher ancillary service costs.
