Texas REPs Assign POLR Responsibilities to Affiliate
Direct Energy has availed itself of new rules allowing Texas retail electric providers to assign their non-volunteer POLR responsibilities to an affiliate.
Specifically, for the residential and small non-residential customer classes, CPL Retail Energy, LP has been assigned the POLR responsibility of Direct Energy, LP; First Choice Power Special Purpose, LP; WTU Retail Energy, LP; Bounce Energy, Inc.; and Direct Energy Business, LLC.
Additionally, Direct Energy Business, LLC has been assigned the POLR responsibility of First Choice Power for the medium and large non-residential classes in areas except Sharyland-McAllen. First Choice Power's medium non-residential POLR responsibility at Sharyland-McAllen has been assigned to CPL Retail Energy
Put another way, the only Centrica company that now has a POLR responsibility for residential customers and small non-residential customers is CPL Retail Energy
The only Centrica company that now has a POLR responsibility for medium and large non-residential customers is Direct Energy Business, except for CPL Retail's responsibility for medium non-residential customers at Sharyland-McAllen
