Reporting by Paul Ring • ring@energychoicematters.com

Energy Curtailment Specialists, Inc. would pay $20,000 under settlement with Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas to resolve ECS's alleged violation of P.U.C. SUBST. R. §25.503(f)(2) and Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Protocol § 8.1.3.3.1(1)(b) by failing to meet the performance criteria for Emergency Interruptible Load Service.

The settlement states that ERCOT concluded that the combined availability factor of the loads within ECS's portfolio fell below the 95% requirement set out in ERCOT Protocol § 8.1.3.3.1(1)(b), during the June-September 2011 period
