United Illuminating To 'Self-Manage' Default Service Load
United Illuminating will apparently self-manage part of its default service load, according to a disclosure filed with PURA.
Specifically, in reporting the supplier of Last Resort Service load for the third quarter of 2014, UI listed in its disclosure: "UI self-managed."
This is the first time in recent memory that UI has engaged in any self-management of default service supply.
UI also disclosed the suppliers serving a portion of Standard Service load for the second-half of 2014: TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd. and Citigroup Energy, Inc.
