Connecticut Issues $30,000 Notice of Violation to Retail Supplier
Updating our story from yesterday, the Connecticut PURA has issued a $30,000 Notice of Violation to South Jersey Energy concerning its operation for approximately 14 months with a lapsed supplier license. The NOV does not constitute final agency action, and the NOV process provides SJE with 20 days to request a hearing and contest the NOV.
HOP Energy Corrects Penelec Rate
Yesterday EnergyChoiceMatters.com reported a new residential electric rate offer from HOP Energy for Penelec customers, and listed the rate as it appeared on PA Power Switch. However, HOP Energy said that the listing was in error, and has corrected the listed offer to a fixed rate of 8.85 cents per kWh through June 30, 2015.
