IDT Energy Launches 'Guaranteed Rate' (Fixed) Plans in Pennsylvania

IDT Energy has launched its previously anticipated fixed price electric products in Pennsylvania, branding the products as "SmartBudget."

IDT Energy's intent to expand its offerings to include fixed price offers had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Specifically, IDT Energy has launched 12-month fixed electric rates for residential customers at PPL, Duquesne Light, Met-Ed, and Penelec.

IDT Energy's residential 12-month fixed rate for each territory is below, in cents per kWh:

PPL                 8.99
Duquesne Light      7.99
Met-Ed              9.49
Penelec             8.99

IDT Energy said that each of these rates is below each utility's June 1, 2014 default supply rate (the utility rates are only fixed for three months).

There is no early termination fee for the fixed products.

IDT Energy also said that it intends to launch a 12-month fixed rate for customers at West Penn Power
