PUC Finalizes Recommendations to Provide More Supplier Information on Utility Bills
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) said yesterday that it finalized recommendations that will provide consumers with more information from their electric generation suppliers (EGSs) on their utility bill.
A written order was not immediately available
The PUC said in a news release that the Commission voted 5-0 to approve changes to customers' electric bills as part of the Commission's Retail Markets Investigation (RMI), which was intended to improve the state's retail electricity market.
The PUC said that the adopted changes provide for the inclusion of the EGS's logo on the bill; the expansion of bill messaging space allotted to EGSs; and the inclusion of a Shopping Information Box.
The PUC's original proposal for something akin to a joint EGS-EDC bill is detailed on our prior story (click here); it was unclear how closely the final order mirrored this proposal
