Exec Overseeing North American Downstream (Retail) Business to Depart Centrica
Centrica plc announced today that Chris Weston, Director, Centrica plc and Managing Director, International Downstream has tendered his resignation in order to become CEO of Aggreko plc, a provider of temporary and permanent power generation facilities and other energy and temperature control solutions.
As Managing Director, International Downstream, Weston was responsible for, among other businesses, Direct Energy's retail business.
"Chris is subject to 12 months' notice and a further announcement will be made in due course regarding the timing of Chris' departure and succession for the leadership of Centrica's International Downstream business," Centrica said.
