Texas REP Now Offering Astros Plans
Champion Energy has begun offering in the CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric territory two plans aimed at Houston Astros fans.
Champion Energy's Astros Triple Play-24 offers a 24-month fixed rate, plus 4 free Astros tickets, a free A/C tune-up, and a $50 rebate for the purchase of an eligible smart thermostat (under Champion's smart thermostat rebate program, click here for details in prior story).
At CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, Champion Energy's Astros Triple Play-24 plan includes an average all-in fixed rate (at 1,000 kWh) of 12.5¢/kWh, reflecting a fixed energy charge of 7.8¢/kWh, and TDU charges of 3.8563¢/kWh and $8.52 per month. A $6.95 fee will be assessed to any billing period in which usage is less than 800 kWh. The plan includes a $250 early termination fee.
Champion Energy is also offering an Astros Fan Plan-36, which includes 8 free Astros tickets and a 36-month fixed rate.
