Direct Energy Business Enters Into Exclusive Partnership with Panoramic Power to Offer Wireless Energy Monitoring and Analytics Solution
Direct Energy Business has entered into an exclusive partnership with Panoramic Power to offer what it describes as a, "quickly deployable and cost effective device-level energy monitoring and analytics solution to Direct Energy Business customers to improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and provide the necessary visibility into operations and energy consumption needed for demand response commitment."
"The self-powered, non-invasive miniature wireless current sensors monitor energy consumption at the individual circuit breaker level, and link energy data to the cloud in real-time. Cloud-based data analytics and storage provide real-time alerts via email or text message to highlight anomalies in energy consumption. Value reports are also periodically generated to provide actionable insights, benchmarking and ensure energy goals are met," Direct Energy said.
"The energy solution offering is recommended for Direct Energy Business customers throughout North America, across a wide range of verticals, ranging from multi-site retail organizations to industrials and large commercial operations. Due to the ease of installation of the Panoramic Power solution, the offering is applicable for customers with high energy costs that require visibility into circuit-level energy consumption. The solution integrates and also works well with building automation systems," Direct Energy said.
"This solutions offering will give our business customers the insights they need to take more control of their energy usage without spending capital dollars," said Todd Sandford, head of solutions, Direct Energy Business. "There is no upfront capital cost or expense, and the product can be deployed within hours. This is another tool our customers can use for total energy management."
The solution offering can help prevent equipment performance drift, provide alerts when an asset needs to be maintained or tuned, share real-time energy waste alerts, lower peak demand, proactively detect equipment failure, and enable granular benchmarking analysis, Direct Energy said.
