National Grid Posts New Default Service Rates
National Grid has filed with the Massachusetts DPU new basic service rates for large customers.
At this time, National Grid is only filing basic service rates for industrial (G-2, G-3) customers in the NEMA zone for the three-month period beginning August 1, 2014, as an initial RFP apparently did not receive sufficient qualifying bids to serve customers in the SEMA and WCMA zones. National Grid is conducting another RFP to serve this load, and also applied for approval of a contingency basic service procurement plan should that procurement (or future procurements) be unsuccessful (click here for related story today).
